Dr. James Klein received his undergraduate degree from Hope College in Holland, Mich. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine. His residency was completed at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. After completing his ophthalmology residency, he continued his education with a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Fla. As a Major in the United States Air Force, he served as Chief of Clinical Ophthalmology at the School of Aerospace Medicine and as a consultant to the Air Force and the Army. He has been honored as a “Top Doc” by Hour Detroit Magazine.
Dr. Klein is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology; he is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, Michigan State Medical Society and American Medical Society.
